Fresh Cut Frasier Fir Trees & Wreaths
For the 85th year, the Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville is selling Christmas trees and hand-decorated wreaths to earn money to support club service projects mainly benefiting children and youth. Proceeds go to four Key Clubs at local high schools, a CKI Club at the University of Virginia, a K-Kids Club at Venable Elementary School, the Jefferson Area Aktion Club, a Central Little League team, and an annual Holiday Party for Persons with Disabilities at WorkSource Enterprises.
Located in Seminole Square Shopping Center in front of Big Lots & Marshalls, you’ll find the freshest Fraser Fir trees from nearby West Virginia and Fraser Fir wreaths assembled and beautifully decorated by local Kiwanians! Prices range from $30 to $105 depending on tree size (3′ to 10′). All wreaths are just $25.
The Kiwanis Christmas Tree Sale will be open from November 26 – December 21, 207.
All money raised at Kiwanis events is returned to the community in club service projects mainly benefiting children and youth. Last year more than 55 Kiwanians volunteered for over 1,500 service hours and raised more than $18,000 which was distributed to a variety of local agencies. In addition, more than 400 elementary school, high school, and college youth are learning and practicing the highest values of service and leadership essential for the improvement of this community through Kiwanis-sponsored service leadership programs. The Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville has been “serving the children of the world” for nearly 96 years. For more information see: http://kiwaniscville.org or call Jim Hart, 434-971-2094.
